Poems
This is my poems page. I like to write poems, so you may read them and criticize them or do whatever you do when you ponder over another's work. I hope you enjoy this small piece of me. : 0 ) |
Wind of Autumn A candy coated breeze Flows in the early morning Carrying golden lemon drops Of sunshine tinted dew. It rocks white picket fences, And stirs the chestnut foal.
Billowing gusts Of fairy dust wind Float under toasted leaves. It turns bare branches to wind chimes, And sings thumbnail elves to sleep.
The mist of apple cider Blows in with dusk at tide It charms all nearby branches; It bronzes twilight sky.
Like the breath of angels Whispering soft lullabies, The wind of Autumn flows swiftly But returns by and by. |
Father, Abba Father, Abba, wash away my grime Purify this restless heart of mine That others may see they face shine in mine And know that they love is true and kind. Father, Abba, wash me.
Father, Abba carry me away Away from my doubts that seem never to stray Far from the sticking loneliness like clay, And break my pride that never goes away. Father, Abba, carry me.
Father, Abba, hold me thy child Stretch out thine arms and mercy mild Although many times I've reconciled, Yet in forgetfulness are my wrongs piled. Father, Abba, hold me.
Father, Abba, one last thing I pray Abide in me as long a life I may, That I may do thy will this day. And when at last I see thy face, I'll run to thee caught in thy embrace. |
After Rain The drip drop dripping of leftover drops And tip top tipping of heavy laden green The soaping sponge grass and weeping fir trees The noisy silence of after rain.
The lazy hazy feeling of humid bubble gum noon And the teedle twaddle twiddle of nothing to do The muddly puddly stillness of sleepy splashed through puddles. The drowsy air of after rain.
The bleach and soak aroma The crispy crunchy clean The rinse and wash of blue bonnet sky, The smell of after rain. |
More to come. |
